The grid is dark and light tiles. That lattice carries the row. Soft edges or a faint grey kill the finder eyes even when the square still looks “fine” to you.
How packed the grid gets
A short URL stays airy. A long card or a rich radio string packs tight. Tight grids want more millimetres and a clean rim when they meet ink.
Spare bits when a corner dies
Spare tiles let a scuff or a logo live. Higher spare means a denser lattice. Posters like it; tiny stickers often prefer a shorter row instead.
